Principals
TIMOTHY L. STRADER, SR.
Timothy L. Strader, Sr., the founder and Chairman of Starpointe Ventures, has 32 years of experience in real estate development and investment. He was one of the ten Koll Company partners from 1972 to 1983, involved in all day-to-day development management. In this capacity, he participated in the development of over 10 million square feet of industrial, office and retail properties in California, Washington, Oregon and Arizona, including Koll Center Newport, Koll Center Irvine, Fox Hills Business Center, and Carlsbad Research Center. In 1984, he formed The Legacy Companies, which developed 298,000 square feet of office in Irvine and Aliso Viejo; 620,000 square feet of industrial in the Inland Empire and Florida; 269,000 square feet of research and development in Irvine Spectrum in joint venture with The Irvine Company; and 840 apartment units in Corona, Chino Hills and Lake Elsinore.
Mr. Strader serves on numerous boards and foundations and was appointed as a
member of the California State Contractors’ License Board by Governor Wilson
from 1995 to 1999. In 1999, the name of The Legacy Companies was changed to
Starpointe Ventures.
TIMOTHY L. STRADER, JR.
Timothy L. Strader, Jr., President of Starpointe Ventures, has 16 years of experience in commercial real estate. He started his career at CB Commercial Real Estate Group (now CB Richard Ellis), was a Vice President with Heitman
Properties, Ltd., and most recently was Director of Real Estate Development for
Opus West Corporation. In this capacity, he managed the development of 930,000
square feet of office and industrial projects in Orange County, including Opus
Center Irvine, a 269,000 square foot, class “A” office building in Irvine;
Foothill Corporate Plaza I-IV, a four-building, 415,000 square foot office
complex in Foothill Ranch; and Foothill Business Center, a 246,000 square foot
industrial park in Foothill Ranch. Mr. Strader, Jr. has significant leasing and
sales experience totaling over 3.5 million square feet in excess of $250 million
in total consideration. He also serves as President of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) SoCal Chapter,
and President of the IBC Consortium, an organization representing the interests of property owners in the Irvine Business Complex.
He is immediate past Chairman of the Board of Big Brothers\Big Sisters of Orange
County.
Tim Jr. was recognized by Real Estate Southern California Magazine as one
of the "40 Under 40" rising stars of real estate in the February 2005 issue.

PATRICK B. STRADER
Patrick B. Strader is Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Starpointe
Ventures. He has a B.S. in Political Science from UCLA and a J.D. with a
certificate in High Technology Law from the Santa Clara University School of
Law. Before college, Patrick worked as a leasing consultant and property
manager at a 492-unit apartment complex and served as the on-site superintendent
for a four-story commercial tenant improvement project. While at UCLA, Patrick
interned at a major retail brokerage firm and compiled and maintained property
books listing and detailing all of the retail spaces in the greater Los Angeles area. While
in law school, he clerked at a start-up online grocer and assisted with the
acquisition of property in 26 major cities across the country.
Since becoming a licensed attorney, Patrick's real estate experience has run the gamut from
representing both buyers and sellers in residential and commercial transactions
to forming and structuring business entities to hold and invest in real
property. In addition, he has litigated numerous landlord/tenant disputes and won a
summary judgment on a specific performance and breach of contract lawsuit
resulting from a cancelled escrow for the purchase and sale of forty acres of
re-development property.
At Starpointe Ventures, Patrick has successfully processed many General Plan
Amendments, Zone Changes, Conditional Use Permits, Master Plans, Tentative Tract
Maps, Park Plans, EIRs and other discretionary approvals.
Patrick was a member of the inaugural class of the NAIOP Young Professionals Group and
the Leadership Tomorrow Class of 2005 through the Chambers of Commerce of Irvine, Newport Beach, and Costa Mesa. Patrick serves on the Board of Governors of the
Irvine Valley College Foundation as Secretary, the Board of Directors of the Irvine
Children's Fund, and the Board of Directors of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce
where he also is the Chair of the Legislative Review Committee.
Patrick was selected as a National Emerging Leader in Real Estate by the
National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) in 2006.
